Acts 17:16-34 (Week 30 - Life in the Spirit)
In Athens, Paul is greatly distressed to see all of the idol worship. The enemy still uses idol worship today to keep many from believing in Jesus, but he also uses idols to keep believers from experiencing Life in the Spirit. He lures us to fall for the counterfeit life found in the idols of pleasure, money, sex, politics, religion, fame, and success; but idols always fall short of delivering what they promise. Abundant life, satisfaction, and true fulfillment can only be found in Jesus!
